Photograph signed: "Sincerely Yours/Peggy Hyland". Colorized,
b/w, 3½x5½. Convent-educated English actress Peggy Hyland (1884-1973)
made her stage debut in 1910, and appeared in 45 silent films
between 1914 and 1925, after which she left the profession. Her best known
film may be The Merry-Go-Round, with Jack Mulhall (1919). She
wrote, produced, directed and starred in With Father's Help (1922).
Married for a time to Fred Leroy Granville, she appeared in films he
directed, including Shifting Sand (1923). Corners worn and
creased. Lightly toned. Lightly soiled. Otherwise, fine condition.
