earned an Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her performance in the
time-travelling romantic comedy Peggy Sue Got Married (1986). Cage
co-starred as her noodge of a husband, a mistake that Turner had a chance to
correct after falling into a time warp during her high school reunion.
TURNER, born Mary Kathleen Turner in Springfield, Missouri in 1954, burst
onto the movie scene in a star-making blaze when she was cast as femme fatale
Matty in the neo-noir thriller Body Heat (1981). Some of her other
well known films include The Man with Two Brains (1983), Crimes of
Passion (1984), South American adventures starting with Romancing the
Stone (1984), Prizzi's Honor (1985), Peggy Sue Got Married
(Academy Award nomination, 1986), War of the Roses (1989) and The
Virgin Suicides (1999). In 1988, Turner gave a sexy performance as the
voice of Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? CAGE, born
Nicholas Kim Coppola in Long Beach, California 1964, made his film debut with a
small part in the 1982 classic Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The
nephew of director Francis Ford Coppola (and nephew of Talia Shire and cousin of
Sofia Coppola), he changed his name to make his mark on his own. Following a
lead role in 1983's Valley Girl, Cage spent the remainder of the decade
playing endearingly bizarre and disreputable men, most notably in Peggy Sue
Got Married (1986), Raising Arizona (1987) and the same year's
Moonstruck, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe. The
1990s saw Cage take on a string of diverse roles ranging from a violent ex-con
in Wild at Heart (1990) to a sweet-natured private eye in the romantic
comedy Honeymoon in Vegas (1992) to a dying alcoholic in the
astonishing Leaving Las Vegas (1996, Best Actor Academy Award). His
other films include Con Air (1997), Face/Off (1997), City of
Angels (1998), Gone in 60 Seconds (2000), Captain Corelli's
Mandolin (2001) and Adaptation (2002, nominated for the Best Actor
Oscar). Cage, who has been married to actress Patricia Arquette (1995-2001)
and Lisa Marie Presley (2002-2004), is currently wed to Alice Kim, with whom he
has a son, Kal-el Coppola Cage. Lightly scratched and creased. Light impression
from disc on cover. Rounded corners. Otherwise in fine
