Printed photograph signed: "My Mom and I "made it", with some
trouble/ so can you -/ Love/ Peggy Webber" in red ink. B/w, 8x10. Actress,
writer and producer Peggy Webber (b. 1925) began her career at age two,
performing during intermissions in silent movie theatres, by age eleven she had
begun working in radio, and by eighteen she was writing, producing and directing
early television shows. When she was 21 she won the award which would later
be known as the Emmy for her drama collection series Treasures of
Literature. Webber appeared in dozens of television series including
Dragnet (1952), Cavalcade of America (1953-1956),
Gunsmoke (1957), Dragnet 1967 (1967-1970) and
Smurfs (1983). She furthermore performed in the films The
Screaming Skull (1958), The Space Children (1958), and
The Wrong Man (1956). Corners rounded. Fine
