guess I have played some lovely roles. On Television I enjoyed making "V" and playing Cindy's
mom in "The Waltons". On Stage I was nominated for a Tony for my portrayal of Elizabeth, the
Player Queen, in Elizabeth I New York City 1972. I loved that role in a short lived production! I
also loved Cordelia in "King Lear" and Portia in "Merchant of Venice". All the best to
you-Thanks again," American stage actress Penelope Windust, born in New York City, is the
daughter of Bretaigne (a director) and Irene Windust (an actress). Growing up in the business,
she was nominated for a Tony award in 1972 for her role as Elizabeth, the Player Queen
in Elizabeth I. She toured in America Hurrah!, appeared at South Coast Reparatory Theatre
(1983) in The Elephant Man and The Lion in Winter and numerous other venues across the
country. Windust made numerous television appearances - most notably in the mini-series V
(1983), with guest spots on Six Million Dollar Man, The Waltons, Falcon Crest, Dallas,
Matlock and many more. Faint paper clip crease at top center. Otherwise, fine condition.
