Inscribed photograph signed "To Jilly,/'Salute'/Perry". B/w, 7¾x10 overall, 7¼x9½ image, one surface. "Jilly" is possibly JILLY RIZZO (1917-1992, born Ermenigildo Rizzo in New York City), a restaurateur and owner of Jilly's, a New York City nightclub and celebrity hangout, as well as a longtime friendand chief aide of Frank Sinatra. One of America's most popular singers from the end of World War II until the rise of rock and roll,PERRYCOMO (1912-2001, born Pierino Como in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania) starred in radio and television musical variety shows bearing his name (1948-1963). He earned four Emmys for his television series and specials. Como released at least eight albums of Christmas music over half a century (1953-2002). His songs include the Grammy-winning Catch a Falling Star and the chart-toppers Hot Diggity (Dog Ziggity Boom) and Round and Round, as well as It's Impossible, Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes, Till the End of Time, Prisoner of Love, A Hubba-Hubba-Hubba (Dig You Later), Temptation, And I Love You So, Because, When You Were Sweet Sixteen and No Other Love. Lightly toned, stained, cracked, creased and bowed. Light scratches on image (not visible head-on). Otherwise in fine condition.
