The Las Vegas jazz headliner and film producer writes to a woman, disappointed in his actions, after assuming the two would be comped for a show.
Autograph Letter signed: "Peter Allman" 1 page, 5¾x5¾. Signed on the verso of a Keno card. No place, 1981 June 23. Written to "Dear Jane", in full: "I'm sorry about the situation. The next time we go somewhere I'll be sure that you'll be treated like a lady. I feel depressed- Almost like crying- But then again we learn through experience. And I should have been prepared. But I wasn't. Because I thought the shows were all comped by Pat & So I learned my lesson. Sincerely from within" American singer and film and television producer Pete Allman was born on August 30, 1947 in Rome, New York. He spent time as a jazz musician, performing in Houston, Texas, before headlining in Las Vegas at clubs like The Fremont Hotel, The Marina Casino and The Jockey Club. In Vegas, he produced a number of local television and radio programs including Uplifting Thoughts with Pete Allman. Allman also produced several films including Brando Unauthorized (2011), Killer Priest (2011) and Vatos Locos (2011). Fine condition.
