RICKEY HENDERSON and PETE ROSE
Color publicity photograph signed by Rickey Henderson and Pete Rose
Photograph signed: "Pete Rose" and "Rickey Henderson." Color, 8x10. This photograph was taken at the July 16, 1985 All-Star Game played at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Henderson led off the game for the American League with a single, stole second base, went to third on the catcher's errant throw to second and scored on a sacrifice fly. That was the only run scored by the American League as the National League won 6-1. It was Rose's last All-Star Game. PETE ROSE (pictured in his Cincinnati Reds uniform) had 4,256 lifetime base hits, more than any other player in baseball history. He had become player-manager of the Reds in 1984 and retired as a player in 1986. In 1989, manager Rose was suspended from baseball for gambling. RICKEY HENDERSON (pictured in his New York Yankees uniform), who played his last season for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has more than 1300 lifetime stolen bases, breaking Lou Brock's record of 938. Fine condition.
