Donat./1984". B/w, 8x10. In 1984, Donat appeared in three feature films,
Highpoint, The Bay Boy and Massive Retaliation, and he made
guest appearances on the small screen in episodes of Simon & Simon
and Hawaiian Heat. Canadian actor Peter Donat, born Pierre
Collingwood Donat in 1928, has appeared in films since The Lost Lagoon
(1958). Usually cast in supporting roles, his has had leading parts as
varied as the title role in Cyrano Bergerac (1972) and that of Harry
Frazee, the ill-remembered Boston Red Sox owner who sold The Babe (1992)
to the Yankees. His many TV credits include series roles in Flamingo
Road (1981) and Time Trax (1993) and repeated guest appearances on
The X-Files. Donat, who is the nephew of actor Robert Donat, was
married to his first wife, actress Michael Learned, from 1956-1972. The
couple had three children, including actor Lucas Donat (born in 1962).
Lightly creased at lower left blank corner, light black mark at lower right
edge. Minor surface creases (not evident head on), some touch hair. Name written
(unknown hand) on verso (very light impression at upper background). Fine
condition.
