1984 August 12. To: Mr. Axelrod. In full: "It seems I am always waiting for the definitive 'best'
role in film and T.V. The most exciting roles I have played have been on the stage. Rev.
Shannon in 'Night of the Iguana'- 'Equis', 'Hatful of Rain' as Johnnie-400 performances of Jerry in
'Zoo Story' and many more. All good wishes" Peter Mark Richman (1927-2021) played
football in the Eastern Pro Conference (was injured) and became a registered pharmacist prior
to becoming interested in acting. Beginning on stage and live television in New York, his first
feature film was Friendly Persuasion (1956). Some think he is most recognized for The
Murder Men (1961) and TheChrimebusters (1961) but TV has also been good for him.
Guest spots on The Outer Limits, The Wild Wild West, Bonanza, Matlock, Mission
Impossible and Combat in addition to his recurring roles on the soap Santa Barbara
(1971-1972), Three's Company (1978-1979) and Dynasty (1981-1984) make him a familiar
face. In 2002, Richman's one man show 4 Faces earned him the Drama-Logue Award.
