PETULA CLARK
Small 4x6 striking color image
Photograph inscribed and signed: "To/Barbara/love/Petula
Clark". Color, 4x6. A child star in Britain during and after WWII, Petula
Clark (b. 1932) was "discovered" by American audiences thanks to her 1965 hit
recording "Downtown," which led to other song smashes such as "Don't Sleep in
the Subway" and "I Know a Place". Clark, who appeared in the musical films
Finian's Rainbow (1968) and Goodbye, Mr. Chips (1969), returned to
films in the child-oriented confection, Never Never Land (1980). In the
early 1990s, she starred on Broadway in the musical Blood Brothers.
Corners worn. Signature in poor contrast but legible. Otherwise, fine
condition.
