PHIL HARTMAN
The actor is shown in a black and white publicity photograph for the 1989 film How I Got Into College.
Photograph signed: "Phil Hartman" in black felt tip, B/w 10x8. Emmy-winner Phil Hartman (1948-1998) attained star status as a regular on TV's Saturday Night Live (1986-1988). His popular skit characters included the Anal Retentive Chef, the Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer, and his famous Bill Clinton jogging to McDonald's (1992 December 5), with his prescient line: "There's gonna be a whole bunch of things we don't tell Mrs. Clinton. Fast Food is the least of our worries." After leaving the SNL cast, Hartman was the voice of Troy McClure on 48 episodes of The Simpsons (1991-1998) and anchorman Bill McNeil on News Radio (1995-1998). On May 28, 1998, Hartman was murdered in his sleep by his wife Brynn, who later that night killed herself in the same bed. Hartman thus joined John Belushi, Gilda Radner and Chris Farley on the list of SNL alumni suffering untimely deaths. Fine condition.
