Golf Cap from the former PGA Tour event, signed by these 7 competitors
Golf Cap signed: "Phil/Mickelson", "Brad Faxon", "Joey Sindelar", "Jeff Sluman", "Peter Jacobsen", Robert Gamez" and "Larry Rinker". Adjustable-size black and white cap with multicolor logo of the tournament, featuring cartoon character B.C. swinging a prehistoric golf club. PHIL MICKELSON (b. 1970) has won 38 PGA Tour events through September 2010, donning the Masters Tournament green jacket three times (2004, 2006 and 2010)! In 1990, Mickelson became the first left handed golfer to win the U.S. Amateur title and only the third - the others being Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods - to win the NCAA championship and the U.S. Amateur in the same year. An avid pilot, Mickelson and his wife Amy are active in the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which in 2004 donated $100 for ever birdie and $500 for every eagle Mickelson scored to U.S. military personnel and their families. BRAD FAXON (b. 1961) turned pro in 1983 and was one of the most successful PGA Tour players in the 1990s. He had five PGA Tour wins and six other pro wins between 1991 and 1999 and was a member of the American Ryder Cup team in 1995 and 1997. He bounced back in 2005 to win the Buick Championship.
Faxon won the B.C. Open in 1999 and again in 2000. JOEY SINDELAR, a member of Ohio State's NCAA championship golf team in 1979, was the University's Athlete of the Year in 1981. He won 7 PGA tour events, beginning with the Greensboro Open in 1985 and concluding with the Wachovia Championship in 2004. He won the B. C. Open in 1987. The consistent Sindelar finished among the top ten over 80 times. He joined the Champions Tour in 2008, finishing in the top ten 5 times. JEFF SLUMAN has had an unusual pro golf career. He one his first tournament - a Major, the US Open - at age 30. Then despite many top-10 finishes he didn't win another tournament until over 40. He won five after that age, when most golfers are suffering declines in their game. Sluman won the B.C. Open in 2001. He joined the Champions Tour in September 2007, winning three events in his first two years on the seniors circuit. PETER JACOBSEN (b. 1954)notched 22 golf tourney wins, including 7 PGA Tour wins and 2 Champions Tour wins. He won the 2004 U. S. Senior Open. Fans of the bar game Golden Tee Golf may recognize his voice as the game's commentator and have probably been on the receiving end of his wit after bad shots. ROBERT GAMEZ was a member of the US Walker Cup team. In 1999 he became one of only four golfers to win the first event he entered on the PGA Tour (Scottsdale). He won the Nestle Invitational that same year. Gamez was unable to sustain this strong start, however, his life complicated by serious injuries in an auto accident. He did not win another PGA tournament until 2005 (the Valero Texas Open), the longest interval ever between wins in PGA events. LARRY RINKER, the brother of two other pro golfers (Lee of the PGA and Laurie of the LPGA), never finished higher than 30th in the PGA Tour money list (1985). Still, he earned over $2 million in his years as a playing pro, making the cut in 283 Tour events, not a bad start for a successful realtor and golf instructor. Fine condition.
