Sports writer and commentator Phil Pepe (1935-2015) has written or co-written numerous baseball books, including The Wit and Wisdom of Yogi Berra (2002) and The Yankees: an Authorized History (1998). He appeared often on ESPN and hosted the radio talk show, Pep Talk. As a beat writer he followed New York City sports teams for decades with The New York World-Telegram & Sun and The Daily News.
