PHIL TYLER
He concludes a short autograph letter to interview host George Sanders with an ink drawing of a mountainscape. A printed bio and photo of Tyler are also affixed.
Original Art signed: "Phil Tyler", 7¼x9¾ (3 surfaces). He has made a simple ink drawing of a mountain scene, probably Mount Hood, to his brief autograph letter of March 25, 1971: "To George Sanders, KWJJ. My pleasure. A long time admirer of KWJJ and the Western flavor." Affixed at lower edge is a printed photo and bio of Tyler, apparently clipped from the program of a gallery exhibition. PHIL TYLER, who lives with his family on the "Rolling T" ranch at the base of Mount Hood, specializes in Western-themed art inspired by his experience hiking, riding and wrangling in the Sierra Nevada and Cascade Mountains. His watercolors have been displayed in several exhibits, including one in the Oregon State Capitol building, and on magazine covers and calendars. He also teaches art and photography. Portland radio/TV interview host George Sanders collected autographs from guests appearing on his program. Left edge frayed. Lightly toned at edges. Otherwise, fine condition.
