The five players, a wide receiver, tight end, linebacker and two cornerbacks all played for the Eagles between 1998 and 2009. Linebacker Jeremiah Trotter was born on January 20, 1977. He was drafted by the Eagles in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He played for the Eagles three times with brief stints in Tampa Bay and Washington in between. Over his career he accumulated 723 tackles, 12.5 sacks and 9 forced fumbles. Overall he played with Philadelphia for 8 of his 11 seasons in the NFL. Cornerback Lito Sheppard was born on April 8, 1981. Coming out of the University of Florida, he was drafted by the Eagles in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He stayed with the Eagles until the 2009 season when he was traded to the New York Jets; he played for the Minnesota Vikings and the Oakland Raiders in the two subsequent seasons after the trade. In his career he totaled 19 interceptions, 460 yards and three touchdowns. In 2006 he became the first NFL player to return two interceptions for more than 100 yards each, both came against the division rival Dallas Cowboys. Tight End L.J. Smith was born on May 13, 1980. Coming out of Rutgers University he was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played for the Eagles from 2003 to 2008 and was traded to the Baltimore Ravens in 2009. His career receiving statistics include 2556 yards, 18 touchdowns and an average 11 yards per reception. Smith scored Philadelphia's first touchdown in Super Bowl XXXIX. Wide Receiver Reggie Brown was born on January 13, 1981. He attended college at the University of Georgia and was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft. Brown spent five years with the Eagles where he totaled 2574 yards receiving, 17 touchdowns and an average 14.5 yards per reception. Brown started his rookie season in the place of suspended fan favorite Terrell Owens. Cornerback Sheldon Brown was born on March 19, 1979. A two time All-SEC awardee at the University of South Carolina, he was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2002 NFL draft. Brown played in Philly from 2002 until 2009 when he was traded to the Cleveland Browns. So far in his career (2011) brown has made 21 interceptions, 7 forced fumbles and 7 sacks. Known as a hard hitter, Brown delivered what many thought of as the hit of the year in 2006 when he dislodged a pass from Reggie Bush with a colossal blind side hit in the 2006 NFC Divisional Playoff game against the New Orleans Saints.
