Typed letter signed: "Philip Campanella", in blue ink, 1 page, 8½x11. October 23, 1973. New York City, New York. In full: "Dear Mr. Willis: Enclosed please find the portrait you requested. I hope it suits your needs. Thanking you for your kind attention in the past, I remain Yours truly". Philip Campanella (1948-2005) was a composer, performer, and acting coach. He served mostly as a sound composer on Broadway, composing original scores Broadway plays including The Play's the Thing (1973), The Homecoming (1991), and Philidelphia, Here I Come! (1994). He was musical director for the Roundabout Theatre in the 1970's and 1980's, while also teaching at the Lee Strasberg Theatre for music and theatre performances. Before he passed in 2005, Campanella was acting as Executive Director of the New York vocal academy, Singers Forum. Light surface creasing. Small tear on bottom left corner. Otherwise, fine condition.
