Typed Letter signed: "Phillip H. Love", 1 page, 8½x11. Washington, D. C., 1970 October 15. On letterhead of The Evening Star - The Sunday Star to Corinne H. Manning, Washington, D. C., in full: "Thank you very much for your interesting letter. I'm glad you like The Lockhorns so well, and I'll let you in on a secret: Juliet Jones is getting married Oct. 18. I enjoyed your report on the English town names; if I write again on odd names, I may use some of it. I appreciate your kind words about my column, and I share your admiration of Charlie Tracewell. He was not only a fine writer but a grand person. With kind regards. Sincerely". Phillip H. Love was a cartoonist with several US newspapers before becoming the Features Editor of the Washington Star. He had a column titled "Love on Life", and wrote a biography of financier and Treasury Secretary Andrew Mellon. Normal mailing folds. Otherwise, fine condition.
