PHIL SPECTOR Black Signature Series electric guitar signed by legendary - and notorious - music producer Phil Spector Guitar signed "Phil Spector" on pickguard. 39x12¾x2¼ electric guitar (depth includes controls). Black "Signature Series" guitar with white pickguard and "Phil/Spector" in white adhesive letters above tremolo. Legendary music producer Spector, born Harvey Philip Spector in 1940, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, was a pioneer in the 1960s "girl group sound", and he later worked with such acts as Ike and Tina Turner, The Beatles, The Ramones and John Lennon. A former performer himself, Spector, who also co-wrote You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' (originally performed by the Righteous Brothers and produced by Spector), later became known for his eccentric outbursts and reclusive lifestyle. On Feb. 3, 2003, he was charged with first degree murder after actress Lana Clarkson was found dead in his Los Angeles mansion. His two trials (the first was a mistrial) ended in a conviction for second-degree murder on April 13, 2009. Spector was sentenced to 19 years to life in prison on May 29, 2009. Lightly scratched, otherwise in fine condition. Previously authenticated by JSA.
