image, one surface. ©1945 Paramount Pictures Inc. Reed (1908-1996, born
Milton Le Roy Treinis in New York City) is an American actor who left Cornell
University at the end of his freshman week when he was offered a job at a
Hoboken stock company. He then found success on Broadway and came to Hollywood
in 1933 for the first of his over 70 TV shows and movies to his credit. He often
played good-looking but un-spectacular hunks - especially for actresses who
didn't want to be outshined by their male leads - or as good-looking but
mean-spirited characters, but managed a few memorable appearances, including
Uncas in Last of the Mohicans (1936). He found better roles on stage,
which included two Broadway appearances. Lightly toned, creased and bowed. Light
impressions, scratches and horizontal striations on image (not visible head on).
Mounting remnants at top edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
