Screen and television actress Phyllis Coates, born Gypsie Ann Evarts Stell in1927, starred in many B-movies of the 1950s, usually Westerns and science fiction. After playing Lois Lane on the big screen in Superman and the Mole Men (1951), Coates was the first to play Lois in the TV series, The Adventures of Superman (1952). Her numerous TV guest appearances in later years included the role of Lois Lane's mother on Lois and Clark (1994). Lightly creased and yellowed at blank margins. Surface creased, minor scratches. Overall, fine condition.
