PIERCE BROSNAN The actor most-recognized for his status as the fifth actor to portray James Bond signed this black and white photograph in blue felt tip Photograph signed: "Pierce Brosnan" in blue felt tip, b/w, 8¼x10. Actual size 7½x9½ with a white border (one surface). The photograph depicts Brosnan as Phileas Fogg, the main character in Jules Verne's book Around the World in 80 Days. The actor starred in a 1989 television miniseries adaptation of the book which costarred Eric Idle, Julia Nickson, and many others. Irish-born actor Pierce Brosnan (b. 1953) gathered experience on the London stage before making his film debut in The Long Good Friday (1980). After playing television detective Remington Steele (1982-1987), he moved easily into the role of James Bond with Golden Eye (1995). Brosnan was the fifth actor to portray 007. He followed it up with three more Bond films: Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002) before being replaced. Brosnan has played dapper con men such as in The Tailor of Panama (2001) as well as the straight man in comedies like Mrs. Doubtfire (1993). In a role a little outside of his comfort zone, he sang in a few musical numbers in the hit musical film Mamma Mia! (2008). Fine condition.
