PETE DuPONT IV
The Delaware Congressman, Governor and Presidential candidate signs a
small card.
Signature: "Pete DuPont/Delaware", 3½x2 card. Pierre Samuel
"Pete" Dupont IV (b. 1935), the Princeton and Harvard Law School-educated
scion of the powerful DuPont industrial family, represented Delaware in the
U.S. House of Representatives (1971-1977), served as the state's
Governor (1977-1985) and sought the Republican Presidential
nomination (1988). As Governor, he worked with both parties in the state
legislature to craft legislation making Delaware a national center of the credit
card industry. Since leaving public office, he has headed several think tanks,
and edited a monthly Wall Street Journal column, "Think Outside the Box".
Light paper clip impression at lower margin touches the "on" of Dupont and the
"aw" of Delaware. Fine condition.
