Truman "Pinky" Tomlin (1907-1987), whose nicknamed derived from his fair
complexion, was a guitarist and band leader, occasional actor, and popular
song writer. His biggest song hit came early, "The Object of My Affection"
(1926), since covered by many artists, and the title of Tomlin's autobiography
(1981). That and other songs by Tomlin have been heard on many film
soundtracks over the years, beginning with One More Spring (1935).
Tomlin appeared in many of these films, and even played the title role in
one: Tickled Pinky (1940). He had a recurring role on the TV series
Waterfront (1954). Corners worn and creased with pin-sized holes and rust
marks. Toned. Lightly bowed. Creased and soiled. Surface scratches. Adhesive
residue, sticker, ink notes (unknown hand) collector's ink stamp on verso.
