PLANET OF THE APES
Cast photograph signed (2001)
Photograph signed: "Mark Wahlberg" (Captain Leo Davidson), "Helena/Bonham/Carter" (Ari), "Paul Giamatti" (Limbo) and "Tim Burton" as the film's director. Color, 10x8. Billed as the "reimagining" of the 1968 original, the new Planet of the Apes departs from both the classic science fiction film and the book by Pierre Boulle. Mark Walberg (born June 5, 1971) a white rap artist and Calvin Klein model turned Movie Star has starred in a great number of big motion pictures including Boogie Nights (1997), Three Kings (1999), The Perfect Storm (2000), The Italian Job (2003) and The Departed (2006). He has also begun executive producing shows for HBO with the two hits Entourage and Boardwalk Empire. Helena Bonham Carter (born on May 26, 1996) is a British film, stage and television actress. She made her professional acting debut in a television commercial at the age of 16. Her breakthrough role as Miss Lucy Honeychurch in the 1985 film A Room with a View and as Lady Jane Grey in Lady Jane (1986) led to her being typecast an actress who played only early 20th century characters. However she proved to be able to play a much larger range of characters in her later films. In the 1999 classic Fight Club she plays the unforgettable Marla Singer and holds her own alongside the acting talents of Edward Norton and Brad Pitt. In 2001 she began a relationship with director Tim Burton and has been featured in several of his films including Big Fish (2003), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) and Alice in Wonderland (2010). Her role as the deranged Bellatrix Lesttrange in the Harry Potter feature films has frightened and titillated children and adults alike. In the 2010 film The King's Speech she played Queen Elizabeth and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress along with a great number of other awards. Tim Burton (born August 25, 1958) began his film career as a Disney animator, but the collaboration didn't work out. "I couldn't draw cute foxes for the life of me," Burton acknowledged. He reached stardom as a director who could make unconventional films which appealed to mainstream audiences. His credits include Pee Wee's Big Adventure (1985), Beetlejuice (1988), Batman (1989) and The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993). Burton has used Depp as a star several times: in Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood (1994) and Sleepy Hollow (1997). Character actor turned leading man Paul Giamatti (born in 1967), the son of former baseball commissioner A. Bartlett Giamatti, was nominated for both the Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Cinderella Man (2005). Giamatti was also nominated for the Golden Globe for Sideways (2004), a film for which many felt he was slighted for an Oscar nomination. A Yale graduate, Giamatti has been seen on the Broadway stage, in feature films and on the small screen. His feature film credits include Sabrina (1995), Private Parts, 1997, his breakthrough role), Donnie Brasco (1997), My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), Saving Private Ryan (1998), Doctor Doolittle (1998), The Truman Show (1998), Man on the Moon (1999), Cradle Will Rock (1999), Big Momma's House (2000), Planet of the Apes (2001), Big Fat Liar (2002), American Splendor (2003) and Robots (2005, voice). Giamatti has also appeared in the acclaimed HBO movies, Winchell and If These Walls Could Talk 2, and he has made guest appearances on several TV shows. Fine condition.
