PLENTY PLAY CAST: KATE NELLIGAN, EDWARD HERRMANN, JOHANN CARLO, GINNY YANG, PIERRE EPSTEIN, BEN MASTERS, GEORGE N. MARTIN, DANIEL GERROLL and BILL MOOR
The nine cast members sign this Playbill for a production of Plenty
Show Bill signed: "Ginny Yang", "Daniel Gerrol", "Edward Herrmann", "Ben Masters", "George/Martin", "Pierre Epstein", "Johann Carlo", "Bill Moor" and "Kate Nelligan" in various inks, 83p, 5½x8½. Playbill for a production of Plenty at the Plymouth Theatre in New York. Frequently cast as a blue blood and/or intellectual (The Paper Chase, 1973; The Emperor's Club, 2002), Edward Herrmann (1943-2014) also hosted and narrated several historical documentaries for the History Channel and the Arts and Entertainment Network. Cast as Franklin Roosevelt in both a TV movie (Eleanor and Franklin, 1976-1977) and a stage musical (Annie, 1982), Herrmann showed his versatility by learning to throw and hit left-handed for the TV movie A Love Affair: The Eleanor and Lou Gehrig Story (1977). His many TV appearances have included a regular role on The Gilmore Girls (2000-2007) and a recurring role on The Good Wife from 2010 to 2013. Canadian actress KATE NELLIGAN (b. 1951) began her professional acting career on London stages before moving on to Broadway and appearing in films. She received an Olivier Award nomination as Best Actress in a New Play for Plenty (1979). In New York, she won a BAFTA Award as Best Supporting Actress for Frankie and Johnny (1991). She was nominated for four Tony Awards between 1938 and 1989 (for Plenty, A Moon for the Misbegotten, Serious Money and Spoils of War), for an Emmy (Road to Avonlea, 1989), and for an Oscar (Prince of Tides. 1991) in 1992. BILL MOOR (1931-2007) was an American stage and film actor. He made his professional acting debut in a production of My Sister Eileen (1946). Nearly two decades later, Moor made his Broadway debut when he was cast as Reverend Phelps in the 1964 original production of Blues for Mister Charlie. From that point on, the already seasoned actor kept himself busy, appearing in over eighteen Broadway productions (including a starring role in a production of the comedy Heartbreak House during late 1983 and early 1984), and snagging roles in 31 screen titles including a small part in It Ain't Easy (1972), his well-known role as Gressen in Kramer vs. Kramer (1979), and his last role as the dad in the 2006 short film Snare. GEORGE N. MARTIN (b. 1929) received a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actor for his performance here as Leonard Darwin. His subsequent starring roles have come in the following films: Pack of Lies (1985), M. Butterfly (1988-1990), and On the Waterfront (1995). Other signers include DANEIL GERROLL, prior winner of a Theatre World Award in 1981 for Knuckes and Slab Boys, who played Mick. JOHANN CARLO was cast as Louise, PIERRE EPSTEIN as Frenchman #2, BEN MASTERS as Codename Lazar, and GINNY YANG as Mme. Aung. Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
