POISON, CO-SIGNED BY: BRET MICHAELS, C.C. DEVILLE
Compact disc case signed by the founder of Poison and the band's lead guitarist
Compact disc case signed "Bret Michaels" and "C.C." in blue ink. 5½x4¾ jewel case with unsigned 4¾ diameter compact disc. This is a 1996 copy of the band's album Poison's Greatest Hits, which includes all five of their American top 10 hits. POISON was formed by Michaels, guitarist Matt Smith, bassist Bobby Dall and drummer Rikki Rockett in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Originally called Paris, they changed their name to Poison after moving to Los Angeles. Since then, the glam rock band has sold 25 million albums and has had five songs in the American top 10, including the 1988's chart topper Every Rose Has Its Thorn. They've released 12 albums, the latest 2007's Poison'd! MICHAELS, born Bret Michael Sychak in 1963, has been the band's front man since its inception. In addition to fronting Poison, he has also produced and directed several films, many of them with actor Charlie Sheen. He was involved in a 1994 car crash, where he suffered a broken nose, ribs and jaw, that temporarily halted recording of the band's sixth album, 1994's Crack a Smile. DEVILLE, born Bruce Anthony Johannesen in 1962, is an American guitarist who replaced Smith after he left the band and who reportedly started playing guitar at age five. Deville wrote Poison's hit "Talk Dirty to Me" while with a previous band and co-wrote the band's first album with Michaels and much of the band's second album. He was briefly fired after the 1991 MTV Music Awards after a backstage fistfight with Michaels, but rejoined the band in 1998. Case lightly soiled with adhesive residue and lightly scratched. Otherwise in fine condition.
