Typed Letter Signed: "D.E." as 34th U.S. President, 1p, 6¾x8¾. The White House, Washington, 1953 October 20. To Frank B. Parent, Judge, The Municipal Court, Inglewood, California. In full: "Thank you for your note of good wishes on my birthday. It always does me good to go back to the midwest. The trip to Abilene last week was a happy occasion. Please give my best to your nice family." Eisenhower has crossed out "Judge Parent" in the salutation and handwritten: "Frank". President Eisenhower celebrated his 63rd birthday, his first in the White House, six days earlier. Although born in Denison, Texas on October 14, 1890, Eisenhower grew up in Abilene, Kansas and is buried there.Lightly creased, fine condition.
