GEORGE W. BUSH, CO-SIGNED BY RUDY GIULIANI AND GEORGE PATAKI In this 8x10 full color and signed photograph, the President comforts the New York City Mayor as the state Governor looks on at the President's first visit to Ground Zero after 9/11 Photograph signed: "George W Bush", "Rudy Giuliani" and "George Pataki". Color, 10x8. President George W. Bush, New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and New York Governor George Pataki embrace at the site of the World Trade Center tragedy on September 14, 2001. Giuliani is wearing a New York Fire Department hat and Pataki a New York State police cap. On the ill-fated day of September 11, 2001, four commercial airliners were hijacked by 19 terrorists recruited and trained by Osama bin Laden's al-qaeda network. While one captured aircraft hit the Pentagon and another, diverted by heroic passengers, crashed in a Pennsylvania field, two Boeing 747's that had taken off from Boston hit the twin towers of New York's World Trade Center. Approximately 3,000 persons - the exact number will never be known - died at and around the WTC, about 600 more than had died at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. These included over 400 emergency responders. George W. Bush, born in 1946, worked on his father's successful 1988 presidential campaign before assembling the group of partners that purchased the Texas Rangers baseball franchise in 1989. He served as managing general partner of the Texas Rangers until he was elected Governor of Texas on November 8, 1994. Bush, who became the first Governor in Texas history to be elected to consecutive four-year terms when he was re-elected in 1998, resigned on December 21, 2000, having been elected 43rd President of the U.S. Reelected on November 2, 2004, Bush is the only U.S. President to be reelected after succeeding a two-term President of the opposing political party. Most recently, he paired up with fellow former Commander-in-Chief Bill Clinton to conduct an in-depth interview with Time magazine and regarding their plans for the coming year and their take on the 2016 election. This issue of Time with Clinton and himself on the cover will be the 31st cover he has been on since June 21, 1999. Fine condition.
