GEORGE W. BUSH and GEORGE H.W. BUSH Full color 8x10 photograph of the famous father and son in good-humored conversation Photograph signed: "George W Bush", "George/Bush". Color, 10x8. Father and son, the 41st and 43rd Presidents of the United States, are shown in good-humored conversation. George H. W. Bush, born in 1924, was Ronald Reagan's Vice President (1981-1989), a Congressman, a U.N. Ambassador, and the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency before serving as 41st U.S. President (1989-1993). He was the first incumbent Vice President to be elected President since 1836. Famous for his campaign speech where he loudly proclaimed "Read my lips: No - new - taxes", H.W. Bush served one term as Commander-in-Chief, failing to win reelection. George W. Bush, born in 1946, worked on his father's successful 1988 presidential campaign before assembling the group of partners that purchased the Texas Rangers baseball franchise in 1989. He served as managing general partner of the Texas Rangers until he was elected Governor of Texas on November 8, 1994. Bush, who became the first Governor in Texas history to be elected to consecutive four-year terms when he was re-elected in 1998, resigned on December 21, 2000, having been elected 43rd President of the U.S. Reelected on November 2, 2004, Bush is the only U.S. President to be reelected after succeeding a two-term President of the opposing political party. Most recently, he paired up with fellow former Commander-in-Chief Bill Clinton to conduct an in-depth interview with Time magazine and regarding their plans for the coming year and their take on the 2016 election. This issue of Time with Clinton and himself on the cover will be the 31st cover he has been on since June 21, 1999. The Bush family certainly fits the definition of a political dynasty: The senior Bush's father, Prescott Bush, was a U.S. Senator from Connecticut (1952-1963). George W. Bush's younger brother, John E. "Jeb" Bush, was Governor of Florida from 1999-2007 and is currently running for President himself. Fine condition.
