GERALD FORD, SPIRO AGNEW, BOB DOLE, WALTER MONDALE, DAN QUAYLE and COLIN POWELL
Unlined 6x4 card with signatures of all six
Signatures: "Walter Mondale", "Spiro T. Agnew", "Gerald R. Ford", "Bob Dole", "Dan Quayle" and "Colin Powell", 6x4 card. Four of the signers were Vice Presidents of the United States: AGNEW (1969-1973), FORD, (1973-1974), MONDALE (1977-1981) and QUAYLE (1989-1993). Ford became President (1974-1977) after the resignation of President Nixon. Mondale, defeated for re-election along with President Carter in 1980, was the unsuccessful Democratic Presidential nominee in 1984. DOLE was on the losing Republican ticket twice as nominee for Vice President (1976) and President (1996). Ford had been Republican Minority Leader of the House of Representatives. Dole, Mondale and Quayle were US Senators, Agnew the Governor of Maryland. Only Colin POWELL has never run for public office, but his resume is also prestigious: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (the first and so far only African-American among the Joint Chiefs); National Security Advisor and Secretary of State (2001-2005). Fine condition.
