First Lady Lady Bird Johnson led the effort to secure passage by Congress of the Highway Beautification Act signed by President Johnson in 1965. This stamp was issued four days before the end of the Johnson presidency. Harry Truman died on December 26, 1972, just 27 days before Lyndon Johnson died. Fine condition.
