Photograph signed: "H. Cámpora" as President of Argentina. Color, 4¼x6¾ overall, image 4x5½ (one surface). Inscribed in another hand, in Spanish, dated June 11, 1973. On March 11, 1973, Argentina held general elections for the first time in ten years. Perón loyalist Héctor Cámpora, affectionately known as "Tio" or "Uncle", became President on May 25, 1973 and resigned on July 13th to allow Juan Perón to win the new elections in October. This photograph was signed during his seven weeks as President. Light paper clip impression at upper left background. Fine condition.
