HERBERT HOOVER, CHARLES CURTIS and CABINET
Rare black and white publicity photograph of Herbert Hoover and Charles Curtis with their cabinet.
Rare Photograph signed: "Herbert Hoover" as President, "Charles Curtis" as Vice President, "Henry L. Stimson" as Secretary of State, "A.W. Mellon" as Secretary of the Treasury, "Patrick Hurley" as Secretary of War, "William D. Mitchell" as Attorney General, "Walter F. Brown" as Postmaster General, "C.F. Adams" as Secretary of the Navy, "Ray Lyman Wilbur" as Secretary of the Interior, "Arthur M. Hyde" as Secretary of Agriculture, "R.P. Lamont" as Secretary of Commerce and "James J. Davis" as Secretary of Labor. PATRICK HURLEY became Secretary of War on December 9, 1929 and William N. Doak succeeded James J. Davis as Secretary of Labor on December 9, 1930, so this photograph must have been taken during that one year. File check mark at upper background. Creased, some surface wear. "Charles" in Curtis' signature lightly smudged. Lower left corner missing. Light beading of ink of some signatures. Hoover's signature fine. Framed in Gallery of History style: 38¼x18¼.
