Signed: "Robert D Smitt". Typed above Hoover's endorsement on verso:
"Pay to the order of the/Boys Clubs of America/Inc." President
Hoover served as Chairman of the Boys Clubs of America for 28 years and worked
to expand the Boys Club Movement nationwide. The Boys and Girls Clubs of
America's "Herbert Hoover Humanitarian Award" is named in his honor. The
award has been presented to leaders of business, industry and philanthropy and
to six U.S. Presidents. Lightly creased with fold, not at signatures. Bank stamp
on verso at Hoover's signature, which is large and bold. Show through of bank
stamps on front at Smitt's writing. Bank cancellation holes at writing on front.
