as Guest of Honor, to speak at 11:30 A.M., Monday, October 6th. His
photograph inside is captioned: "President of the United States, Commander in
Chief of Army, Navy, and Marine Corps." Signed by
Hoover beneath blue and gold emblem of the American Legion, an organization of
honorably discharged wartime United States veterans founded in 1919. Today,
there are over 2.9 million members of the American Legion. Light stain
(¼x1/8-inch) at upper right margin. Fine condition.
