Comprises: (1) Photograph signed: "Jimmy Carter". B/w 6½x9. Fine condition. (2) Photograph signed: "M. Begin". B/w 4¾x7¼ overall, image 4x5½ (one surface). Captioned: Menachem Begin/Prime Minister of Israel. Fine condition. (3) Photograph inscribed and signed: "Mr. Kloda/A Sadat" (signed in English and Arabic). B/w, 6½x9. Lightly creased Signature light but legible. At the White House on March 26, 1979, the Camp David peace treaty was signed by Israeli Prime Minister MENACHEM BEGIN and Egyptian President ANWAR SADAT and by U.S. President JIMMY CARTER as witness. At a state dinner that evening, Begin suggested that Carter be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and Sadat agreed. Begin and Sadat had won the 1978 Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts. Sadat was assassinated in 1981; Begin died in 1992. In 2002, Carter finally received his Nobel Peace Prize. Three items. Framed in Gallery of History style: 32½x29.
