After King's assassination in Memphis on April 4, 1968, President Johnson sent Reynolds to Memphis. He joined union and city officials in talks that led to the eventual settlement on April 16, 1968. Surface impressions, not evident head on. 2 vertical creases (1-inch and 2-inch) at foreground. Photo is overall in fine condition, mat is worn and creased and flimsy.
