Nixon" and "Bebe Rebozo". B/w, 8x10. Charles "Bebe" Rebozo (1912-1998) was a Florida
businessman who became a close friend to Richard Nixon while the future President was
a member of the House. The two men were introduced by Congressman George Smathers in
1950 and became lifelong friends until Nixon's death. The self-made millionaire in real estate
and banking also functioned as Nixon's informal financial advisor. Sources agree that Nixon
was at Rebozo's home when he learned of the Watergate Hotel incident. Due to his
connections with the shady President and independent business dealings, Rebozo was
investigated regarding allegations of covert payments in Nixon's stead and, in a separate
case, bank fraud. Rumors of illegal activity involving both Nixon and Rebozo continue to
