vice-presidency.
Program signed: "Richard Nixon" as Vice President-elect
on cover, 4p, 8x10½ (16x10½ sheet folded in half). "Gala
Inaugural Concert", The National Symphony Orchestra, Constitution Hall,
Sunday evening, January 18, 1953. Gilt 1¾-inch diameter Eisenhower-Nixon
Inaugural seal at left. Biographies of the participants are printed on back
cover. The gala, hosted by Walter Pidgeon, featured entertainment by soprano
Jeannette MacDonald, tenor James Melton and violinist Yehudi Menuhin. Two
days later, General Dwight D. Eisenhower was inaugurated President and Senator
Richard Nixon was sworn in as Vice President. Lightly creased with light
vertical and horizontal folds. Lightly soiled at bottom blank edge, else fine
condition.
