PRESIDENT RICHARD M. NIXON - PAMPHLET SIGNED CIRCA 1956 - HFSID 87693
Sale Price $405.00
He signs a flyer from the 1956 Presidential campaign.
Flyer signed: "Richard Nixon", 2 pages (front and verso), 4¼x7½. Campaign pamphlet titled "Citizens for Eisenhower-Nixon/New York State", bearing inset photo reproductions of President Eisenhower and Vice President Nixon. The pamphlet details reasons to vote for re-election of the candidates. Eisenhower and Nixon were re-elected in a landslide in 1956, winning 457 Electoral Votes (all outside the South) and 57% of the popular vote. They carried New York, usually a Democratic state, with an even higher 61%. (This pamphlet never mentions that Eisenhower and Nixon were the Republican nominees.) As a Presidential candidate himself, Nixon failed to carry New York State in his first bid for the office (1960) or in his narrow 1968 victory, but he did win it in his landslide 1972 re-election. Lightly worn. Fine condition.
