Southwestern Republican Women's Club, Palm City, California. In full:
"This is just a note to thank you for your recent letter telling me of the
fine work the women in your organization did during the recent campaign. I
regret that I have not been able to reply to your letter before this, but I have
being receiving so much mail since the election that this is the first
opportunity I have had to catch up on my correspondence. I am confident that the
victory which was achieved on November 4 was due to the efforts of millions of
people who were determined that America should have the new, dynamic leadership
of General Eisenhower." On November 4, 1952, the Eisenhower-Nixon ticket
beat Stevenson-Kefauver by 33.8 million to 27.3 million popular votes, 442-89
electoral votes and 39-nine states. Tape stains at left and right edges on
