Photograph signed: "Best Wishes/Bill Clinton/4-92". B/w, 8x10.
Signed by Arkansas Governor Clinton during the Democratic primary
elections. He was nominated for President on the first ballot at the
Democratic National Convention held in New York's Madison Square Garden on July
13-16, 1992. In the November 3, 1992 election, he defeated incumbent Republican
President George Bush by 44.9 million to 39.1 million popular votes (Independent
Party candidate H. Ross Perot had 198.7 million popular votes), 370-168
electoral votes and 31 states and Washington, D.C. In 1998-1999, Clinton
became the first elected U.S. President to be impeached, but was found not
guilty on both counts, failing to get a majority guilty vote (two-thirds was
needed for removal). Tip of lower right corner creased. Interestingly, he signed
this photo over another item and on verso is a blurry ink transference of his
signature of the other item. Fine condition.
