Allow me to send in reply not only my warmest appreciation but my sincere regards." WILSONhad been elected Governor of New Jersey two days earlier on November 8, 1910. When he became President in 1913, he appointed Florence Jaffray Hurst, who had married New York banker J. BORDEN HARRIMAN in 1889, a member of his Federal Industrial Relations Committee. She was the manager of the New York State Reformatory for Women in Bedford, N.Y. from 1906-1918. From 1937-1941, MRS. J. BORDEN HARRIMAN was U.S. Minister to Norway. Rippled edges. Lightly creased. Slightly stained in blank areas. Overall, fine condition.
