sincerely,/Alexander George of Teck", 4½x1½. Brother of Queen Mary (consort
of King George V) and husband of Princess Alice (granddaughter of Queen
Victoria), Alexander George (1874-1957) was Governor General of the Union of
South Africa (1923-1931) and Canada (1940-1945). Also the 1st Earl of Athlone,
he dropped the surname "Teck" and adopted the name "Cambridge" in 1917. Lightly
soiled. Writing on verso (no show through, unknown hand). Light folds, not at
signature. Fine condition.
