about the first attempt to fly around the world.

In full: "In 1924 4 planes with 8 flyers attempted the first world
flight. Six flyers in three planes completed the trip, which at that time was as
exciting and sensational as the astronauts of today. Leslie Arnold and Lowell
Smith two of the successful flyers completed the trip in their plane The
Chicago, which is now in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington. In the
photograph left to right. [not present] Lee Wade, Leslie Arnold, Lowell
Smith, Henry Ogden, Erik Nelson and Jack Harding. The late Lowell Thomas wrote a
most interesting book, The First World Flight, which can be found in most
libraries" American silent film actress Dean reached stardom in
the serial The Gray Ghost (1917). Other starring roles included
The Virgin of Stamboul (1920) and Under Two Flags (1922). Fine
condition.
