Orbach has signed above his biography page, which includes two b/w photos. The hit musical Promises, Promises ran on Broadway from December 1, 1968 to January 1, 1972. Based on a book by Neil Simon and a film - The Apartment - by Billy Wilder, the show featured music by Burt Bacharach and lyrics by Hal David. It was nominated for five Tonys in 1969, including Best Musical. Jerry ORBACH (1935-2004) won the Tony for Best Actor. Orbach, best remembered by TV viewers from the hit series Law and Order (1992-2004), appeared often on the large and small screen and earned two other Tony nominations (for Guys and Dolls, 1965; and Chicago, 1976). Carole BISHOP, later billed as Kelly Bishop, won a Tony for Best Featured Actress in A Chorus Line (1976). Bishop and performer/choreographer Baayork LEE shared a Theatre World Special Award for Ensemble Performance in A Chorus Line. Barbara ALSTON had been in the original Broadway cast of Cabaret (1966-1969). Lightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
