P.S. I LOVE YOU PLAY CAST
Geraldine Page and Lee Patterson sign on a Playbill for a production of P.S. I Love You
Show bill signed: "Geraldine/Page", "Lee Patterson", in black ink, 64 pages, 6x9. Actress GERALDINE PAGE (1924-1987) took home the Best Actress 1985 Academy Award for The Trip to Bountiful after being nominated for Oscars seven times: as Best Actress for Summer and Smoke (1961), Sweet Bird of Youth (1962) and Interiors (1978) and for Best Supporting Actress honors for Hondo (1953, her debut film), You're a Big Boy Now (1966), Pete 'n' Tillie (1972) and The Pope of Greenwich Village (1984). Page, who had begun her acting career as a stage actress, had received raves for her performance in the off-Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' Summer and Smoke, and began her film career the following year. Page also won two Emmy Awards for her portrayals of Truman Capote's eccentric mother in A Christmas Memory (1967) and The Thanksgiving Visitor (1969). She was married to actor Rip Torn from 1961 until her death in 1987. LEE PATTERSON (1929-2007) was a Canadian actor, appearing mostly in television and British films as a masculine American stereotype. Although Patterson had one Broadway appearance (1964's P.S. I Love You), he is most remembered for his role on crime drama Surfside 6 (1960) as Dave Thorne. When the show was cancelled, Patterson briefly moved to Hawaiian Eye, before finding prominent roles in daytime soaps like One Life To Live (1970) and Texas (1980). Corners lightly worn and creased. Toned. Light surface creases. Otherwise, fine condition.
