Printed Photograph signed in Ink: "1 Love/ Q Latifah", in blue marking pen, b/w, 8x10. In 1989, Queen Latifah (b. 1970), born Dana Elaine Owens, released her debut album All Hail the Queen, which featured the hit single "Ladies First". Her second album Nature of a Sista was released in 1991. Beginning in 1993, Latifah starred as Khadijah James on the sitcom Living Single, which ran until 1998. Her third album Black Reign (1993) was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America and she took home a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1994 for the album's hit single "U.N.I.T.Y.". Latifah then began to shift her focus toward acting, starring with Jada Pinkett-Smith in Set It off (1996). After being nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in 2002's Chicago, Latifah began appearing in movies more frequently. A few of the films in which she has starred include Bringing Down the House (2003), Beauty Shop (2005), Hairspray (2007), and the HBO Documentary Bessie (2015). In 2006, Latifah received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Returning to music, Latifah released Trav'lin' Light in 2007), which received a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, and Persona in 2009. Fine condition.
