The U.S. politician pens his name on a 3½x2 card in blue ink
Signature: "R Walter Riehlman/34th Dist New York", in blue ink, 3½x2. Roy Walter
Riehlman is a politician from New York who was a member of Congress from
1947-1965. He graduated from the Manlius Military Academy in 1919. In 1921,
completed his education at Central City Business School in New York. From 1933 to
1938, he was a member of Tully Board of Education. Then, he became county clerk of
Onondaga County (1943-1946). Riehlman was elected as a Republican to the 80th
Congress and to the eight Congresses that followed. In 1964, Riehlman failed to get the
nomination and retired from Congress. After his time in the U.S. House, he functioned as
vice president of Lu-Mar Enterprises, Inc. and eventually retired to Ormond Beach, Florida.
Ink slightly smeared (near 34th) from moisture damage, but still fully legible. Some faint stain
specks below signature. Lightly toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
