Photograph Signed: "Rafael Landestoy" B/w3¼x5¼ with the baseball player walking away
from the batter's box. Rafael Landestoy (b. 1953 in the Dominican Republic) played eight
seasons with the Houston Astros, Cincinnati Reds, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Landestoy's
primary value as a player was as a utility infielder who played both second base and
shortstop and a switch hitter who could be inserted as a pinch hitter effectively. After his
playing career ended, Landestoy has since managed the Dominican Professional Baseball
League Team Tigres del Licey, leading them to a league championship in the 2005-2006
season. He currently works as a minor league international coordinator for the New York
